REVIEW: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows
TMNT is a 3D style world with a minor open world game system published by Activision and developed by Red Fly Studio. The game is a qua-player multiplayer/co-op game based on the turtle melee attack system which revolves around the turtle’s combo system, it was released for Xbox Live and Windows PCs (STEAM) and Play station Network.
It takes you where it all began, you play as the turtles; Raphael: “The Hot Head”, Donatello: “The Smart One”, Michelangelo:”The Heart of the family and Leonardo: “The leader”. It enables you to level up each individual turtle depending on the one the computer uses not the A.I (it only get little experience levels) and choose different upgrades to their weapons. ***NO SPOILERS***.
It enables co-op/split–screen on even low specs pc but online games lags a lot and fps is usually very slow. In co-op you and you partner can each select a different character but cannot use the character you partner choose. The Microsoft version had a few problems when using Xbox pads and switching to PS3/PS2 pad.
My two favorite turtles to use are Raphael and Michelangelo, Raphael because of his brute attacks and sheer strength makes it easy for me to knock down enemies. Michelangelo is the fastest turtle and i like the jokes he makes in the game, he is the best turtle for completing combo objectives. 10 REASONS WHY I LIKE THIS GAME
1. The voice acting is superb and i like how the turtles interact with each other about their fighting and just communicating with each other.
2. Switching of characters is really easy.
3. Turtle Power K.O’s and individual K.O’s
4. Graphics.
5. Navigation, wall running and free-running skills.
6. Team Finishers and Individual Finisher
7. Storyline.
8. HUD screen
9. Mikey’s enthusiasm
10. The waypoint marker is pretty cool
10 REASONS WHY I HATE THIS GAME
1. It glitches a lot i.e. The turtle disappears into buildings or get lodged into each other
2. It doesn’t save except when connected to steam.
3. In the downloaded version there is no ladder to climb up, in that level that you escape the mousers
4. The turtles can walk on air when you jump a high distance!!!!
5. There are portal holes in the wall and if you enter one it leads you out of the NYC and you fall forever.
6. It doesn't support a long range of pc pads
7. It's audio is poor sometimes whether on high or low specs pc
8. There face glitches sometimes and make them look like apes.
9. some waypoints are inaccessible and can be passed only after waiting for a while
10. The mini-game where you input passwords sometimes glitches which causes a massive speed up of about 12 secs per realtime
